Plejsy is just an hour's drive from Poprad Airport, not far from the Slovak Paradise National Park. In recent years, this resort has under-gone dramatic growth thanks to it's excellent skiing conditions. There are nine downhill ski-runs of various levels of difficulty, served by seven ski-lifts and a twin-seat chair-lift, and the north-facing slopes enable skiing an average of 123 days a year. Artificial snow also prolongs the season until well into spring, long after most other Slovak resorts have closed. Plejsy also boasts slalom and super giant slalom courses certified by the International Ski Federation. The resort hosted several European Cup competitions and serves as a training center for the Slovak Olympic ski team.
